Bulgaria’s President Roumen Radev urged the countries of Southeast Europe to help accelerate the establishment of an international Sustainable Technologies Institute in the region.
This project will encourage the process of European integration in the field of science, education and medicine and will create new opportunities for technological exchange and realization of young scientists. This is the opinion of President Radev, who met with the members of the Management Board of the future Institute, which will be established in Bulgaria. Representatives of Western Balkan countries and leading European scientists working at CERN were among the participants.
The head of state pointed out that in the coming months it is important to outline the main parameters of the project as well as to sign a memorandum of cooperation. It is a good idea that the Bulgarian presidency should be used to make progress and provide funds for the project.
