A protest took place outside the building of the Bulgarian National Television on July 20. It was attended by members of the public, representatives of the civic association “Bulgaria United with One Purpose” (BUOP) and the leader of “Yes Bulgaria” party, Hristo Ivanov. He said he was not pleased with the way the public service broadcaster reflects the situation and that is why he referred this to the media regulator, the Council or Electronic Media.
The protesters again demanded the resignation of BNT Director General, Emil Koshlukov.
The members of BUOP tried to enter the building, but were stopped by the police. The leader of the movement said that they would block the entrance of BNT until 22:00.
A similar attempt was made in October 2019, when Ataka party leader, Volen Siderov and protesters tried to enter the building.
