A serious crash involving a head-on collison between two cars closed the road Rousse – Byala on 2nd of January. Both drivers were injured and taken to hospital in Rousse. They have many injuries, but so far are in a stable condition. The accident occurred around 2:00 p.m., shortly after it rained and the road became slippery. For reasons unknown for the time being, one of the two cars drove into the oncoming traffic and collided with a car.
Two ambulances were sent to the scene of the accident, along with firefighting teams. The cars had to be cut to take the injured drivers out of the crumpled cars.
Drivers commented that cars were probably moving at high speed on the slippery road. Traffic was temporarily diverted into one lane. The causes for the accident were being clarified.
