Sinemorets – one of the most beautiful and cleanest beaches on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast

Sinemorets is the ideal option for everyone who wants to enjoy a completely relaxing holiday and paradise beaches.

It is located on Bulgaria’s Southern Black Sea coast, 4 km south of Ahtopol and 12 km from the Bulgarian-Turkish border.

It is assumed that the village of Sinemorets was built on the remains of an ancient Thracian settlement. The oldest written information about it is from 1498 in the form of a commercial document. Over the centuries, its name has changed several times - Kalandzoy, Galandja, Kalandja, all derivatives of the literal translation of the Greek word for "sky blue" - "galaza". The village received its present name Sinemorets in 1934.

It is located in Strandzha Nature Park. The whole area is a reserve. There are some rare species of plants and animals.

A uniquely beautiful view is revealed at the North Beach, also called the "Estuary of the Veleka River".

Here the Veleka River flows into the Black Sea and this makes the beach one of the most beautiful in the world. This is the most wonderful place for snorkelling. When the sea is calm, the visibility in the waters reaches 10 m and beautiful underwater photos can be taken.

The beach is 700 metres long and 90 metres wide. As far as the eye can see you will see calm blue waters, bright green forests, golden sand dunes and bizarre rocks.

In one of the best preserved and picturesque villages on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast there are two more beautiful and inspiring beaches - "Butamyata" and "Lipite".

In the southern part of the bay there are two rocks rising above the sea, popularly known as the "Ships", so named because of their shape. They are a frequently visited place for photos by professional and amateur photographers.
