We remain supportive of policies, but we would like “There is Such a People” party, the mandate holder, to reconsider its decision on its candidate for Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Petar Ilelev. We will wait to see their reaction and make a final decision tomorrow before the vote, Bulgarian Socialist Party leader Kornelia Ninova said at a press conference at the party's headquarters on August 9.
"The statement of the candidate for Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior this morning is embarrassing for us. We will make a proposal to the National Council, which will make a final decision," Ninova continued.
"Immediately after the elections, we stated our position that there should be a regular parliament and a regular government. We started negotiations on the most important thing for us - the policies. We had 5 priorities, which we talked about at the expert level. I want to thank my TISP colleagues. "They have come a long way from not wanting talks to the condition that we have set for a document for policy commitments. This written document is a fact," the BSP leader said.
Ninova expressed satisfaction that this document contained all the proposals they had made, including the adjustments that the National Council had asked to make at their last meeting. All these corrections were reflected in good faith by the colleagues from TISP,” Ninova added.
