Sofia Shows the Renovated Building for Bulgaria’s EU Presidency

Bulgaria’s Minister of Culture, Boil Banov, and the Minister for the Bulgarian Euro-Presidency, Lilyana Pavlova, showed on 18^th of December the renovated part of the National Palace of Culture, where the meetings and events of the rotating presidency calendar will take place.

The renovated Hall 3 is one of the best in Europe, and the works of art in the building has already been restored.

Some finishing works will be fully completed by the end of the year. The first official meeting of the presidency calendar will be held on January 11 and 12, 2018. During this period, 270 events will take place in the building, 32 of which will be at a high level.

Lilyana Pavlova showed the area which will be used for cultural events. She explained that Hall 6 was designed for press conferences, Hall 7, 8 and 9 for current events, Hall 3 for plenary sittings and Hall 10 for dining.

Boil Banov said there was no better place in Europe, including the works of art. After the completion of the restoration, the place has become a one-off, he said.
