The first siting of the new Parliament will be held on Wednesday, April 12, the presidential administration said.

The Head of State signed the decree today, April 10, on the basis of Article 75 of the Constitution.

The MPs will gather at the National Assembly at 10.00 am.

According to the Constitution, the new Parliament's first sitting will be chaired by the oldest attending Member of Parliament, who is Vezhdi Rashidov.

The first more important election will be that of Speaker.

Consultations with the head of state will then begin with all six parliamentary parties before the actual procedure of handing over the exploratory mandate begins.

For now, what has become clear is that GERB-UDF (which won the April 2 elections) is inviting to talks all parties ready to form a cabinet. According to the GERB leader, the most stable government would be a coalition between the major parties. WCC-DB, which came second in the elections said that they would not support a government with a mandate or with the participation of GERB.
