Two people admitted in hospital in Bourgas on suspicion of coronavirus

Two people were admitted to the infectious diseases ward in the hospital in the coastal city of Bourgas on February 24.

The patients came back from Italy and had sore throat and high body temperature.

The hospital declined to comment before the results of the coronavirus tests are ready.

A 40-year-old woman was admitted in the Infectious disease unit in Kanev Hospital in Rousse on suspicions of coronavirus She is of roma origin and returned from Milan yesterday. She sought medical help herself. Samples were sent to the National Reference Laboratory for confirmation.

A man from the seaside municipality of Nessebar has become unwell with the known flu symptoms - sore throat, pains in the joints and fever. A 20-year-old student has shown the same symptoms since returning from Milan.

New three patients are being tested for coronavirus at the Infectious Disease Clinic in Bulgaria’s second largest city of Plovdiv. Twenty students and two teachers from the Mathematics High School, who have also returned from Italy, remain quarnatined in their homes.

In the South Bulgarian city of Sliven, a Chinese family, who recently traveled to their home country, remains quarantined.

In Haskovo, three people - a man, a woman and a child are also under 14-day quarantine. They are free of symptoms of the virus, but the measure is preventative.
