Strengthened checks in hospitals by the Ministry of Interior, the directorate for combatting orgnaised crime and economic police will be carried out in hospitals. This was agreed last night, December 16, at the meeting between the Prime Minister and the protesting nurses. The meeting went on for 2 hours in the Council of Ministers.
In the meeting with the PM, the medical specialists revealed information about large-scale irregularities, including false sick leaves, clinical paths and other violations.
In addition to agreeing strengthened checks against violations, they also discussed the possibilities to increase salaries in the sector.
A second meeting will be held with the PM on Thursday after the signing of the National Framework Agreement. On Wednesday, the nurses will move the protest in front of the building of the Parliament.
