United Patriots, the minority partner in the ruling coalition, will support the nomination of the outgoing chief prosecutor, Sotir Tsatsarov, for the next head of the anticorruption commission.
Sotir Tsatsarov and United Patriots MPs on November 21 held a meeting in Parliament. The meeting was held after it became clear that Tsatsarov’s nomination for head of the anticorruption body was not agreed with MPs from NFSB, one of the constituent parties in the United Patriots alliance.
According to the MPs, Tsatsarov succeeded in convincing them that he would bring reforms and would justify public expectations about the activities of the anticorruption commission if elected to the post.
