Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin is on a two-day official visit in Bulgaria. On 21st of March, Cardinal Parolin is scheduled to meet with Bulgaria’s President Rossen Plevneliev and Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.
President Rossen Plevneliev will confer the Stara Planina Order, First Degree, to the Cardinal Pietro Parolin.
On the second day of the visit, Cardinal Parolin will meet with the Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte and the Chief Mufti Mustafa Hadzhi.
Vatican State Sectary arrived on the visit to Bulgaria on 20th of March, when Catholics around the world mark Palm Sunday. He celebrated Mass to consecrate the ‘Dormition of the Mother of God’ Cathedral of the Bulgarian Catholic Apostolic Exarchate of Sofia and participated in a holy mass at the ‘St Joseph’ cathedral in the Bulgarian capital.
