"Thank you to all those who cast their vote today and did not leave the fate of Bulgaria in the hands of indifference," the co-leader of Democratic Bulgaria, Hristo Ivanov, wrote on his Facebook page after the end of election day on April 2.
"The results of these elections reconfirm what we have known for a long time - our society is deeply divided and this is a serious problem. But besides being a problem, it is also an opportunity to start stitching together the torn fabric of this society. Because democracy is to talk to those you disagree with. The people's vote tells us, once again, that we will have to learn to have this conversation," Ivanov wrote.
The “We Continue the Change”and “Democratic Bulgaria” said earlier today that they would not make any official comments after the elections and would wait for the parallel count results, which was not expected to happen before the end of the day."
