The wet snow and icing of the power lines on February 5 and 6 downed over 30 electric power pillars of CEZ Distribution company in Western Bulgaria, the company said on February 7.
More than 800 employees have been mobilized in the company's emergency teams. On February 6 alone, more than 300 sections of the electricity distribution network were restored.
The breakdowns include mostly broken wires, broken insulators and fallen trees. CEZ employees are working overtime to restore power supply.
Repair teams continue to work in the affected areas of the districts of Pleven, Lovech, Vratsa and Sofia.
