Bulgaria’s caretaker Prime Minister, Stefan Yanev, convened an emergency meeting at 19:00 today, August 4, in connection with the tragic incident due to the forest fire near the village of Petrovo, Southern Bulgaria, in which two forest officials died.
The meeting will focus on the wildfires situation in the country, the need for urgent action to control it and immediate measures to prevent such tragic incidents.
The meeting will be attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Public Order and Security and Minister of Interior, Boyko Rashkov;caretaker Minister of Defence Georgi Panayotov; caretaker Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, Hristo Bozukov; Chief of Defence, Admiral Emil Eftimov and representatives of agencies.
