Workers from Lukoil Neftohim on October 27 blocked the road at the exit of Bourgas in the direction of Sofia and Trakia motorway.
Their protest started with the Bulgarian anthem. The reasons for the discontent is the uncertainty related to the possible derogation for Russian oil. The protesting workers claim that if it is cancelled, the refinery in Bourgas will stop working and all employees will lose their jobs.
At the beginning of the week, the Trade Union of the Bulgarian Petroleium Chemists called for the derogation not to be used as a means of pressure and at the time threatened protest actions.
