A working group of media representatives, lawyers and MPs will be set up to prepare proposals for amendments to the Radio and Television Act within one month. This was made clear at a meeting with members of Parliament's Committee on Culture and Media on November 13.
Members of the working group include BNT Director General Emil Koshlukov, representatives of the Bulgarian National Radio and private media, including Nova Television and BTV, the Association of Radio and Television Operators and the Electronic Media Council.
BNT will host its first meeting next week.
The head of the relevant committee in Parliament, Vezhdi Rashidov, said that the law is outdated and changes were needed to make the media more flexible and attractive.
