Fourth grade students from 119th school in Sofia are participating in a charity Christmas auction. They will sell their artworks created in painting classes with the famous Bulgarian artist Ivan Yahnadzhiev. The idea of the children is to help raise money for children battling cancer at ISUL Hospital.
In the paintings, the children say they put most vivid colours with which they want to warm the children's hearts in the hospital and to communicate their best feelings to them.
"This is an act of kindness as they do not have the chance to enjoy Christmas as we do," one of the little artists says.
“And, we want to help them live a happy life”, a child said.
The artist Ivan Yahnadzhiev inspires the children's desire to create art and create miracles. A special guest at the auction is Tsena Boyadzhieva, the granddaughter of Zlatyu Boyadzhiev, who will present the children with paintings they have not seen before.
He says the children have a tremendous desire to do something for Christmas. “ I am very happy to help these children. They very easily make colours and arrange them. We, the adults, no matter how much we try, cannot give them that pleasure that they themselves do,” he added.
