2.2% is the budget deficit for 2023, calculated according to the European methodology, the Finance Ministry said on February 1.
Preliminary estimates show that an improvement has been achieved compared to the 2023 target set in the motives to the state budget law (a deficit of 3% of the projected GDP).
BGN 400 million is the surplus in the treasury according to the January 2024 estimates, the ministry also said.
