There is an agreement on the main parameters of the draft law on the state budget for 2026, announced the Finance Minister
Agreement has been reached between trade unions, employers’ organisations and the government on the main parameters of the 2026 draft State Budget Act. This was announced by Finance Minister Temenuzhka Petkova.
The planned increase in the dividend tax has been dropped, as has the requirement for SUPTO (software for managing sales in retail outlets).
The proposed 2% increase in social security contributions has also been withdrawn.
In the capital investment programme, national co-financing will be reduced by €450 million.
By the end of the day, the Ministry of Finance will present the full draft budget and the updated medium-term fiscal forecast.
On Monday, following the meeting of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation, the draft state budget will be submitted to the National Assembly.
