Bulgarian authorities reported an outbreak of bird flu (H5N1) in the village of Donchevo, Dobrich area, Northeastern Bulgaria. All infected birds will be culled. A protection zone has been set up in the area including the villages of Bogdanovo, Donchevo and Opanets. Trade of birds and bird related products has been banned. All poultry farms within 10 km radius of the area remain under monitoring.
