An explosion occurred in the Smoke Grenade Workshop of Arsenal arms plant in the town of Kazanlak, South Bulgaria, shortly after 11:00 am on May 14.
There is serious material damage from the blast wave - the roof of the workshop has been completely blown away, and there are broken windows of neighbouring buildings.
Two workers were slightly injured.
Arsenal CEO Nikolai Ibushev believes it was most likely a human error that caused the production accident at the plant.
The cause for the incident is yet to be clarified by an internal departmental commission, which has already been formed by order of Ibushev.
The police, the District Prosecutor of Stara Zagora Dicho Atanasov, as well as representatives of the Labour Inspectorate, who are inspecting the place, are at the scene of the incident.
