Bulgaria’s ‘Equinox’ will Perform ‘Bones’ at #18 in Eurovison Grand Final

Bulgaria’s representative in Eurovision 2018, the band “Equinox” will perform the song “Bones” under number 18 in the Grand Final, which will take place on 12^th of May in Altice Arena, Lisbon, Portugal.

The Bulgarian entry was one of the 10 songs to reach the final from the semi-final on 8th of May.

A total of 26 countries will participate in the final – the 20 winners from the two semi-finals, the representatives of the host country Portugal and the ‘big five’ (founders and main sponsors of the competition), which automatically qualify for the Grand Final - France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom.

The final will be watched live by more than 12,000 people at Altice Arena in the Portuguese capital and the expected number of TV viewers is over 400 million. This year's impressive show is broadcast in the continent's participating countries and in Australia, the United States, China and Kazakhstan.

In addition to the musicians from ‘Equinox’, the audience will see the popular Bulgarian singer Ioanna Dragneva. She will announce the vote of the professional jury from Bulgaria. Ioanna is well known to fans of Eurovision. In 2008, together with her colleagues from "Deep Zone Project", she presented Bulgaria at the Song Contest in Belgrade and in 2015 she welcomed the foreign delegations during the opening ceremony of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Sofia.

During the Grand Final, the members of Equinox, Zhana Bergendorf, Vladimir Mihaylov, Georgi Simeonov-JJ, Johnny Manuel and Trey Campbell, will again rely on the strong support of Bulgarians abroad. Viewers on the territory of the participating countries will have the possibility to vote for the Bulgarian representative.

It will not be possible for viewers in the territory of Bulgaria to vote for the Bulgarian song, but it will be possible for all the other participating countries to vote for it.

Bulgarians in the territory of countries allowed to vote will have the possibility to cast their vote for the Bulgarian entry ‘Bones’ and ‘Equinox’.

In the Grand Final, viewers from all 43 participating countries can vote, after the 26 finalists have performed.

The voting window opens after the last song has been performed. Voting details will be displayed by the local broadcaster.

If you wish to support the Bulgarian entry, you can send number 18 via SMS to the number of the mobile operator specified on the screen of the local broadcaster. Viewers have the right to vote up to 20 times on a mobile number. The cost of the SMS is different for each country.

After the public vote has closed, presenters will call upon spokespersons in all 43 countries and ask them to reveal their jury points live on air. The juries decide their votes based on the dress rehearsal the night before the main show.
