BULGARIA’S MINISTER OF INTERIOR AND THE FBI DIRECTOR DISCUSSED SECURITY ENVIRONMENT

Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Roumyana Bachvarova is on a working visit to the USA on the topic of fight against terrorism, organized crime, illegal migration and anti-drug trafficking.

At the beginning of her visit, on 19th of July, Roumyana Bachvarova and the FBI Director James Comey discussed the current security environment and the recent terrorist attacks in Europe and the USA.

The Bulgarian and the American sides re-confirmed their readiness to a more active exchange of information between the FBI and the Bulgarian law enforcement and security authorities. The main line of exchange is related to people suspected in being involved in terrorism and its financing, money laundering, tax frauds, crimes with bank cards and skimming devices, counterfeiting of money and cybercrimes.
