bulgaria’s awarded montenegro’s highest state honour

Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov was awarded the Montenegro order with tape by President Milo Djukanovic on 3rd of September. The highest state award was presented to the Bulgarian Prime Minister as a sign of gratitude for his successive efforts and the support of our country for the European perspective of Montenegro.

In his speech, Prime Minister Borissov thanked for the award and said that this was an appreciation for Bulgaria during the Presidency of the council lof the EU. He recalled that during these six months, Bulgaria made a huge effort for the European integration of the countries of the Western Balkans.

"All came to Sofia, we held many meetings, then the 16 + 1 initiative and the Berlin Process in London. We will continue to actively cooperate within NATO and am convinced that we will continue to work together in the EU," Prime Minister Borisov said.

"Boyko Borissov's friendship and support has been much longer than Montenegro's 12 years of independence. Boyko Borissov, as prime minister, placed a kind of imprint on bilateral relations," President Djukanovic said at the awards ceremony.
