The military intervention of the Russian Federation in Ukraine is absolutely unacceptable, said Bulgaria’s Minister of Defence, Stefan Yanev, on February 24.
"The actions of the Russian authorities not only continue the line of gross violation of international law, but have the potential to lead to catastrophic humanitarian consequences and the loss of many lives. Such aggression is unacceptable. The system of international relations must generate peace, stability and prosperity. If the available mechanisms for this are not effective, then solutions must be sought to refine them, but through dialogue and diplomacy, not through war," his position reads.
