Bulgaria's Poli Genova performing the song "If Love Was a Crime" was voted into 4th place at the 61st edition of the Eurovision song contest that took place in Stockholm, Sweden, on 14th of May.She received a total of 307 points - 127 from the national juries and 180 from the televoters.
Ukraine's entry "1944" performed by Jamala, won the contest with a total of 534 points.
Out of 42 original contestants, 26 reached the Grand Final. The final outcome was decided by a 50:50 split between professional juries and televoting from all 42 participating countries.
This is Bulgaria's best result at Eurovision so far. Bulgaria reached the Eurovision final once before, back in 2007 with Elitsa Todorova and Stoyan Yankulov and their entry “Water", when they took 5th place in the final.
