Bulgaria and North Macedonia reaffirmed their commitment to continue the construction of Railway Corridor No. 8, the European Commission said.
At the meeting in Brussels, Bulgaria was represented by the caretaker Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, Biser Minchev.
The two countries agreed to hold a regular high-level dialogue. A joint working group on Corridor 8 will be set up and the two ministries will work to find a technical solution for the construction of the cross-border section of the corridor. The eastern section of Corridor 8 connects North Macedonia and Bulgaria and is part of the Western Balkans - Eastern Mediterranean European Corridor.
