Bulgaria ranks second in the European Union for maintaining the lowest external debt to GDP, according to Eurostat data at the end of the third quarter of last year. Overall, the share of public debt of the community countries fell to 82.6% at the end of September, compared to 83% in the same period last year.
Estonia has the lowest public debt, comprising 18.2% of its GDP, followed by Bulgaria. s impressive fiscal responsibility places it ahead of Luxembourg, Sweden, and Denmark, with their respective debt percentages.
Estonia has the lowest government debt at 18.2% of GDP, followed by Bulgaria at 21%. Behind us in the ranking for fiscal discipline are Luxembourg, Sweden and Denmark.
