The Bulgarian climber Boyan Petrov went missing at Shisha Pangma 7 days ago.
Today, 10th of May, the weather is expected to be more favourable and the rescue will continue.
Yesterday, the team searching for the Bulgarian mountaineer halted the search efforts early because of worsening weather conditions. The Sherpas did not even reach the first base camp. Permission is still awaited from the Chinese authorities to include a helicopter from Nepal in the rescue operation.
Radoslava Nenova, Boyan Petrov‘с spouse told BNT breakfast show on 10th of May that the Sherpa rescuers may be aided by a helicopter today and that a satellite image is expected. She explained that the satellite will take pictures of the slope of Shisha Pangma and added the picture is detailed and could give indication about the location of the tent, tracks and the place where Boyan Petrov could be.
