The Bulgarian female tennis player Tsvetana Pironkova reached the second round of the 2020 Roland Garros tournament.
In a match from the first round played on Monday, September 28, Pironkova defeated Andrea Petkovic with 6:3, 6:3.
This is Pironkova's 13th participation in the French tennis open in Paris, and so far she has overcome the first round of the Grand Slam tournament eight times. The last time she failed to pass the first obstacle was in 2013.
In 2016, Tsvetana Pironkova recorded her best performance, reaching the quarterfinals, where she lost to Ana Ivanovic.
