Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labour and Social Policy Ivailo Kalfin resigned. Prime Minister Boyko Borissov accepted the resignation, Bulgaria’s government press office announced on 10th of May.
The resignation comes after earlier on 10th of May, his party, ABV, withdrew the support for GERB and the ruling majority.
Earlier, Rumen Petkov, deputy chair of ABV party, said that ABV were not invited to the meeting in Bulgaria’s National Assembly, in which PM Borissov and the Patriotic Front and the parties supporting the government held talks and tried to reach consensus over the changes to the electoral code.
