Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs raised the risk index for traveling to Italy to Level 4: Warning to discontinue traveling across the country (unless needed). The measure is in line with the restrictive measures imposed by the decree of Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and given the worsening situation with the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the country.
Restrictive measures envisaged for the Lombardy region and the other 14 regions, part of the so-called "Red zone" is already being implemented throughout Italy. As foreseen in the Decree of March 8, 2020, travel will only be possible for work or health reasons or for urgent family needs. All ski resorts in taly will be closed, due to frequent cases of breaches of the mandatory 1 metre distance. Bars and restaurants throughout Italy will close at 6 pm.
The new measures come into force today - March 10 and will be valid until April 3.
