Half a million BGN will be allocated by the government for recovery of the damages from the hurricane in Vratsa, North-West of Bulgaria, Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said on 19th of March. The decision was made at an extraordinary meeting and the funds will be released on Thursday.
The recovery from the hurricane, which passed at a speed of 160 km/h through the Kulaata neighbourhood in Vratsa on Sunday, has caused a lot of damages to the houses and infrastructure. The wind blew the roofs off five buildings. Almost all houses have broken or blown off roof tiles. Several electric poles have been broken. There are fallen trees.
