On 21 and 22 May, President Rumen Radev will be on a working visit to the Russian Federation, the head of state's press office said on 18th of May.
During his visit, the Bulgarian head of state will hold a meeting with his Russian counterpart, President Vladimir Putin, with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, and will take part in celebrating the Days of Bulgarian Culture in Moscow. During his visit to Russia, the Bulgarian President will be accompanied by his wife.
The topics expected to be discussed during the meetings are the prospects for development of the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Russia in the areas of the economy, energy, education and culture as well as issues of international security.
On May 21 in Moscow, President Radev will hold talks with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
Later in the day at Bolshoi Theater, the President will be present at the opera production "Siegfried" by Richard Wagner performed by Sofia Opera and Ballet.
In the building of the Bulgarian Embassy in the Russian capital, Rumen Radev will talk with distinguished Bulgarian and Russian cultural and public figures.
On May 22 in Sochi, the Bulgarian head of state will meet his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin. The two presidents will hold a meeting and then chair the plenary talks of the two official delegations.
Rumen Radev and Vladimir Putin will make joint statements for media representatives.
The Bulgarian Co-Chairperson of the Bulgarian-Russian Friendship Group in Parliament, Krasimir Velchev; the Chair of the Committee on Economic Policy and Tourism in the Bulgarian Parliament, Petar Kanev; representatives of the local authorities, scientists, public figures and cultural figures will participate in the official delegation of the Bulgarian Head of State.
