Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev said on April 21 that Bulgaria will continue to provide support to Ukraine "within its capacity".
"Bulgaria should help all people who are fleeing a war, and we will continue to support Ukraine within our capacity," he told reporters.
"But let it be very clear that unlike other countries that are far away from the conflict, Bulgaria has a huge historical diaspora. We have our compatriots in Ukraine who are currently in the zone of military operations and this requires a very careful and responsible attitude. I have long said that Bulgaria should provide means of individual protection - bullet-proof vests, helmets and others," Radev said.
