Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Met with His Counterpart from Cape Verde

Opportunities for business contacts, especially in the area of tourism, were discussed by the Prime Ministers of Bulgaria and Cape Verde on 19^th of February. PM Borissov noted that there are currently students from Cape Verde who graduate from universities in Bulgaria and hopes there will be more.

He also pointed out that Cape Verde has very close ties with the EU and the European People's Party and is a democratic country in this part of the world. PM José Ulisses de Pina Correia e Silva pointed out that his country is willing to cooperate in the area of education and urged the Bulgarian business to invest in Cape Verde.

We are open to accepting Bulgarian investors in different areas, especially in the area of tourism. Tourism accounts for 25% of Cape Verde's GDP, we have an annual increase by about 20%. Cape Verde can be a springboard for European countries to the African continent, for European business investment. Boyko Borissov Said the country is an example of how to stop constantly aiding Africa at some point, and at the same time the migratory flow from it, especially through Libya, Italy, which becomes enormous.
