Masked armed men robbed the post office in the village of Svetovrachene near Sofia. The three perpetrators broke in the building in the morning on 9th of July when elderly people were waiting for their pensions.
They then went into the salon, broke the burglar-proof grill with a metal lever, and entered the room where the cashier was.
The cashier has been wounded. She was taken to a hospital in Sofia. There is not risk for her life.
Eyewitnesses said the burglars were armed with batons and a gun.
Panic button alerted the security officers.
The stolen amount was 3,000 BGN. The perpetrators are wanted. According to a security officer, a security camera has recorded the perpetrators white getting into a white car. Their identity is still not known. Investigation is currently under way.
