A 9 year old boy from the UK is the latest case of coronavirus registered in Bulgaria, the national coronavirus task force said on March 16.
The child was on a skiing holiday in Bansko ski resort. He arrived in Bulgaria with two adults and two more children.
The head of the task force, prof. Mutafchiyski explained that the boy’s uncle who is also in Bulgaria has been previously in contact with his sister, who had tested positive for coronavirus. He added that samples have been taken from everyone in the group, but only the 9 year old tested positive.
Mutafchiyski described the transmission of the disease as criminal behaviour.
The total cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria are now 52.
