The newly confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria are 158 out of 7026 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on September 4 shows. This means that 2.24% of the tested over the past 24 hours are positive.
The largest number of newly confirmed cases was reported in the following districts: Sofia - 42; Blagoevgrad - 28; Plovdiv – 9; Varna – 6; Stara Zagora – 12.
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 16,775.
The active cases are 4182.
Of the total, 764 are in hospitals, 61 of them being in intensive care.
Ten Covid-19 associated deaths were reported in the past 24 hours. The total of fatalities rose to 658.
The recoveries over the past 24 hours are 175.
The total number of medical professionals who tested positive for the virus is 923, including 10 new over the past 24 hours.
