The newly confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria are 163 out of 5,090 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on September 11 shows.
The largest number of newly confirmed cases was reported in the following districts: Sofia (36); Blagoevgrad (19); Varna (14); Kardzhali (13) and Stara Zagora (13).
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 17,598.
The active cases are 4273.
Of the total, 746 are in hospitals, 55 of them being in intensive care.
Four Covid-19 associated deaths were reported in the past 24 hours. The total of fatalities rose to 706.
The recoveries over the past 24 hours are 145.
The total number of medical professionals who tested positive for the virus is 996, including 14 new over the past 24 hours: 5 doctors; 4 nurses; 2 healthcare assistants and 3 other medical staff.
