Nineteen new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours from 1220 PCR tests, the national task force said on June 2. Nine of them were hospitalised, ten are undergoing treatment at home.
The total number of cases in the country now stands at 2538.
The epidemic is fading away, the head of the national centre for infectious and parasitic diseases, prof. Kantardzhiev said.
The ;latest cases include a 14 year old boy from Sliven and a pregnant woman.
The number of medical professionals infected with the virus reached 259. A nurse from Sliven tested positive yesterday.
The death toll reached 144. Four people died over the past 24 hours: three men in Sofia, Sliven and stara Zagora and a woman in Plovdiv.
