Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 201 new cases, total is at 17,799

The newly confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria are 201, data published on the National Information Portal on September 12 shows.

The largest number of newly confirmed cases was reported in the following districts: Sofia (41); Blagoevgrad (59); Bourgas (12); Varna (11); Stara Zagora (17).

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 17,799.

Of the total, 735 are in hospitals, 56 of them being in intensive care.

Seven Covid-19 associated deaths were reported in the past 24 hours. The total of fatalities rose to 713.

The total number of medical professionals who tested positive for the virus is 1003, including 7 new over the past 24 hours.
