Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 222 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 222 from 3,266 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on April 18.

Test positivity rate is around 6,79%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,149,447

The active cases are 163,460.

Of the total, 1,056 patients are in hospitals, 116 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 702 recoveries;

· 95 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

· 2 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 70,72% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 100,00% had not been vaccinated.

There were 116 new hospitalisations, of which 90,00% had not been vaccinated.
