Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 228 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 228 from 4,093 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on May 3.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,157,199.

The active cases are 141,746.

Of the total, 849 patients are in hospitals, 77 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 239 recoveries;

· 117 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

· 2 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 66.23% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 100.00% had not been vaccinated.

There were 23 new hospitalisations, of which 86.96% had not been vaccinated.
