Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 2,854 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,854 from 18,149 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on February 25.

Test positivity rate is at 15,7%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,083,425.

The active cases are 223,714.

Of the total, 4,542 patients are in hospitals, 530 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 9,016 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 824,354

· 4,641 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 4,291,673.

· 59 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 35,357.

Of the daily cases, 73.41% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 81,36% had not been vaccinated.

There were 398 new hospitalisations, of which 85.43% had not been vaccinated.

So far, 2,042,630 people have been fully vaccinated. 682,741 have been given a booster dose.
