Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 2,903 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,903 from 24,216 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on February 26.

Test positivity rate is at 11.98%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,086,328.

The active cases are 221,092.

Of the total, 4,224 patients are in hospitals, 500 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 5,449 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 829,803

· 4,203 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 4,295,872.

· 76 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 35,433.

Of the daily cases, 74.85% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 92,11% had not been vaccinated.

There were 367 new hospitalisations, of which 81.47% had not been vaccinated.
