The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 3,440 from 24,730 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on October 16.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 537,752.
The active cases are 58,764.
Of the total, 5,936 patients are in hospitals, 509 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
· 1,647 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 456,800
· 8,634 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 2,623,783
· 86 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 22,188
Of the daily cases, 85.67% had not been vaccinated.
Of those who died, 91.86% had not been vaccinated.
There were 740 new hospitalisations, of which 90.81% had not been vaccinated.
*Those considered to be vaccinated had completed the course of vaccination with 2 shots.
