Thirty eight new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours, thus bringing the total to 2138, the secretary of the national task force said at the daily morning briefing on May 15.
A total of 63 319 tests were conducted so far in the country, i.e. 9045 per million of the population.
The latest cases include 7 in Sofia, 10 in Blagoevgrad, 6 in Yambol, 5 in Razgrad, 2 in Vidin, 2 in Kyustendil.
Veliko Turnovo, Pernik, Rousse, Sliven and Smolyan each reported 1 new case.
A 5 year old child from Kyustendil tested positive for the virus.
Two new cases of doctors were reported in Sofia and Razgrad.
545 people diagnosed with Covid-19 have recovered, including 24 over the past 24 hours.
Three Covid-19 patients died: a 69 year old man in hospital in Vidin with underlying health conditions; a 56 year old man in hospital in Veliko Turnovo; a 69 year old man in Gotse Delcchev.
Internationally, 213 registered confirmed cases of coronavirus. The USA has the highest infection and fatalities rates, followed by Brazil and Russia.
In Western Europe, UK has the highest rates.
