Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 4,845 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 4,845 from 30,634 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on February 22.

Test positivity rate is at 16%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,072,493.

The active cases are 239,005.

Of the total, 5,145 patients are in hospitals, 549 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 10,197 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 798,303

· 3,870 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 4,278,226.

· 143 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 35,185.

Of the daily cases, 77.01% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 90,91% had not been vaccinated.

There were 797 new hospitalisations, of which 86.07% had not been vaccinated.

So far, 2,038,507 people have been fully vaccinated. 674,115 have been given a booster dose.
