The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria reached 531, the task force announced at 5 pm daily update on April 5.
Nine more cases were registered later today. Five of them are in Sofia, one is in Smolyan, one in Blagoevgrad, one in Stara Zagora and one in Haskovo.
210 Covid-19 patients are treated in hospitals, 22 of which are in intensive care.
37 have recovered.
The number of people confirmed to have had coronavirus and died has risen to 20 after a 49 year old man died in Pirogov emergency hospital in Sofia earlier today. Two women, a 75 year old and a 60 year old died later during the day in the same hospital. The 75 year old had an underlying Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and high blood pressure. The 60 year old had liver failure, high blood pressure and ischemic heart disease.
